Sulaiman Nadvi was born on 22 November 1884 and died on 23 November 1953. He was a Pakistani historian, biographer, littérateur and scholar of Islam. He co-authored Sirat-un-Nabi and wrote Khutbat-e-Madras.

Maulana Sulaiman Nadvi was the founder member of Jamia Millia Islamia (A Central University), New Delhi, India. He was elected as the member of foundation committee headed by Sheikhul Hind Maulana Mahmood Hasan which was met on 29th of October in 1920 in Aligarh in United Province, British India.
